Untitled

The artwork is inspired by several elements. The presence of young people and children in the area, their innocence and curiosity.

I want to inspire security and serenity with the colour palette and the expression of the little girl.

Lucia Zúñiga Cáceres is a self-taught artist originally from Cusco, Perú, who moved to New Zealand in late 2020.

As an artist I don’t feel constrained by rules and am driven by inspiration in the moment over careful planning. I create intricate designs using acrylic paints on canvas and let my creativity flow, often getting lost in the fine details and escaping from the trials and stresses of daily life.

Influenced by colours and shapes from nature and with a vibe for sass, my art gives voice and power to different perspectives from the mainstream. This freedom of expression helps me find peace and security in myself, so I can connect with new people and places, which in turn has given me the freedom and security to pursue my goals as an artist.
