Spring Clean Whakatū Nelson

On 11-19 October, we’re inviting you to help spring clean the city.

Show some love for our city

In October 2024, we ran the first Spring Clean campaign and it was a huge success. We had all sorts of contributions including cleaning, painting, waterblasting, graffiti-removal, planting, artwork creations and general spring clean transformations.

In 2025, we're back with heaps more projects - have a look at what's happening - it's so great that so many businesses are volunteering their time and resources.

Spring Clean is an encouragement to all innercity businesses, organisations and anyone who uses the city, to roll up your sleeves and make the city really sparkle.

Want to get involved?

We're encouraging businesses and groups to initiate their own projects to support the campaign. It might be cleaning, planting, or a general tidy up - a little effort has big results!

Remember to let us know how you plan to contribute to the Spring Clean Whakatū Nelson initiative.

You can also join volunteer teams in enhancing our community spaces by revitalising gardens and removing graffiti.
