As a guide:
- $100 – goes towards a Make/Shift Spaces' revitalisation projects
- $600-$1000 – mini-art projects around the city
- $1,000 – sponsor a door as part of ArtDoors Whakatū Nelson
- $5,000–$10,000 – will go a long way to producing a major artwork on a city wall.
Over 40 installations in 4 years
Over the last four years, Make/Shift Spaces has created and facilitated more than 40 installations, storyboards, workshops and performances. Some are fleeting, others, like ArtWalk, have a more lasting presence. The connection is our place – whether it’s a painting depicting the origins of kōkōwai (red ochre), an art installation of pioneer dairy cows, or premiering a new one-woman play – all are stories of the people of Nelson Whakatū.
Make/Shift Spaces is now the facilitator of the Community-Led Taskforce.
